Kia ora koutou, I am a PhD student in the French Section of the Humanities Department at the University of Waikato. I am currently researching the French Marists who worked on the Maori Mission between 1838 and 1939. I've spent 8 months in Tahiti (French Polynesia)and 8 months in Avignon (southern France). While in Avignon, I worked on a French to English translation of a Marist Father's essay entitled 'The Religious Mentality of Maori'.
